A hike to Hällberget

Today we went for a hike to the Toppstugan Hällberget. This was our second attempt to hike to this place. The first time I regularly stopped to take pictures of the mushrooms and the forest. I took really nice pictures, but because of that, it took a while for me to get back on track. At one point we decided to turn around and try it the next time. Today was the next time.

The hike is 3 kilometers long and quite a climb. It's quite an intense workout and to be honest, I'm not in good shape. I had to take a lot of breaks, but I could manage it. We arrived at the spot where we turned around really fast and at that time we thought we were nearly there. Turns out we weren't nearly there. But there were many blueberries on the side of the path. If we needed an extra boost of strength, we plucked some blueberries.

So after walking, lots of stepping over things and more climbing, we arrived at the Toppstugan and the view was breathtaking!

The climb down afterwards was really tough though. Due a longterm condition my legs started to flare up and became really painful. At some point I felt I couldn't walk anymore, but Tanno supported me where he could.

Now I'm laying on the couch with very painful legs. But my sweet cats are accompanying me, giving comfort with their purring. I'm going to watch my all-time favourite movie: Red Riding Hood, the one of 2011. I love the setting in this film and it strangely reminds me of Sweden. Maybe it is because of the woods.

I hope you have a nice Tuesday!

Lots of love,

Eileen 💚
