Whispers and changes of autumn

"And when the first breezes of autumn touched my skin, my soul awakened once again and broke free."

As the end of September approaches, the autumn has really settled in. Everywhere we go, everywhere we look, we are greeted by lush and warm colours. There is a warm and golden hue over the woods when the sun shines. And this hue changes to blue and moody when it storms. Every other morning the valley is covered in this spooky fog. The days are also getting shorter. Right now the sun sets at 19:17! Honestly I feel so alive in this time of the year. I'm so fond of autumn and the cosy feeling the last 6 months of the year. It makes me feel all the more witchy! 🧙‍♀️✨

The temperatures drop below zero now in the nights which leaves everything in a layer of frost. It's unimaginable how fast the temperature has dropped here. Really different than in the Netherlands! Today we were having breakfast with delicious homebaked bread from Offerdal's Hembageri when we noticed that it already snowed a little! Although it was wettish snow and it was gone as quickly as it came, it was the winter saying hello!

This week we went to Östersund again to run some errands. I can happily anounce that we finally have a bank account! Now we need to receive our passes via the mail and return to the bank again to activate it and arrange our bankID. 🫠 But everything is slowly, but surely falling into place! We have our personal numbers, our identification cards and now almost our bank accounts are accessible!

We also looked for new clothes for the upcoming winter. I think when we're more into the winter, we have to buy more. But we have the basics now. As the house is warmed with bergvärme, we don't have to worry about getting enough wood to warm the house. It's very easy to warm the house, but having a fireplace to warm the house is also so cosy!

I also have some very good news to share with you! In my last blog I mentioned I had a bit of a hard time regarding my search for a job. By chance, I was invited for a interview for an internship I applied for in the marketing branche.

And I got it!

I'm so happy and grateful for this opportunity as it will bring new experiences and I think I'm going to learn so much from it. I will start next week on tuesday as an intern for social media management. I think it also fits perfectly with my blog. What I'll learn from my internship, I can apply to my own social media for this blog and vice versa. So next week I will start my first working/internship in Sweden! Amazing.

For now I wish everyone of you a great evening.

Lots of love,
Eileen 💕
